COVID-19 LATEST: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Gold Coast, Brisbane, Logan, Moreton Bay, Townsville and Palm Island will ease restrictions to Stage 3 in line with the rest of Queensland from 4pm today (8 October). New restrictions include:

  • Cafés and restaurants will return to 1 person per 2m² indoors and outdoors, and stadiums and events can have full capacity.
  • Up to 100 people can gather in homes, with no limit for people gathering in public spaces.
  • Visitors are permitted at aged care, correctional centres, hospitals and disability service centres.
  • Up to 200 people can attend funerals and weddings, and all wedding guests can dance.

Masks:

  • Masks must continue to be worn indoors unless seated and on public transport. However, masks only need to be worn for entry and exit at hospitality venues.
  • Masks must be worn when at stadiums, at an airport, and on a domestic or international flight departing or arriving in Queensland.
  • You should carry a mask and wear it when physical distancing is not possible.

We will continue to monitor and provide you with updates accordingly.
